Salom Hostel

Tajikistan

English-speaking Zafar and his lovely family run the first hostel in the region, and between the warm welcome and comfortable facilities, it's quite popular with budget travellers and cyclists. All accommodation is in shared dorms, but that just makes it a great spot to meet travellers with whom to share a ride up into the mountains surrounding Penjikent.
