This small market has a good selection of gourmet goodies, artisanal bread, Angus-beef steaks and cheeses. Toward the back, there's a small sit-down cafe serving smoothies, breakfast dishes, high-end sandwiches and hearty salads, as well as a full bar. Takeout available.
At the time of research, the owners were opening up a restaurant a couple of doors down. The menu at Gonzo's Garden – named in honor of Hunter S Thompson who stayed here back when it was the Hotel Carmen – will focus on Caribbean flavors and French techniques.
