The Kharaa has a decent location and polished overall look that makes it fine for a short stay. But, typical of midrange hotels in this town, there a number of shortcomings: thin walls, tiny bathrooms and lumpy beds just to start with. Finally, no elevator means you may have to lug your bags up four flights of stairs.
Staff are friendly, but speak just passable English. Pricier rooms offer a little more comfort so consider an upgrade.
