Citadel Youth Hostel

Jerusalem

Seconds away from the markets, steeped in history, yet somewhat shabby, the Citadel is a perfect example of a hostel with unrealised potential. Parts of the building date back 700 years, and while the stone-walled rooms have atmosphere, the beds are worn and the bathrooms poorly maintained.

On the up side, the location plants you in the heart of the Old City and staff can help arrange tours to the Dead Sea and beyond.
