Little House in Rehavia

Jerusalem

A midrange gem in a pretty residential neighbourhood, Little House's 1929 stone building has plenty of character, and the staff is just as charming. Twenty-eight simple but clean rooms have well-kept, beige-tiled bathrooms. The hotel's a little bare but great value, especially with the roof terrace, free coffee, and a kosher Israeli breakfast buffet, best eaten in the cat-patrolled garden.

It's a 1.5km walk from the Old City.
