Named after Jerusalem's former mayor, the 31,700-seat Teddy Kollek Stadium is home to the Beitar Jerusalem, Hapoel Jerusalem and Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem football clubs. You can buy tickets on the day of the game. Solar panels cover newly installed roofing over three sides of the stadium; less noticeable upgrades, like in locker rooms and the sound system, make this a state-of-the-art facility.
It's worth noting that Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem is known as 'the people's club' since ordinary Israelis can buy ownership shares and that Beitar Jerusalem's reputation is aligned with Likud political and nationalistic policies.
