Exterior of Canterbury Tales bookshop

Canterbury Tales

Vancouver

Serving the area's voracious bookworms, this used and new bookstore is one of several Drive literary nooks. It's a minilabyrinth of floor-to-ceiling stacks bulging with titles, including some quirky staff picks near the entrance. Sci-fi and fantasy fans should also check the extensive sections at the back of the store. Don't miss the well-curated literary-travel section near the center of the shop.

Consider picking up a Bukowski anthology or two: the infamous American author and poet gave a few notorious live readings on the Drive back in the day. This is also a good spot to buy new books; they're typically 30% cheaper than list price.
