The distinctive DuCasque's 45 rooms have been solidly redecorated with sparkling new bathrooms while maintaining a subtle art-deco flavour that mirrors the antique doorless lift and the well-preserved 1930s foyer where the unlucky receptionist must stand day and night.
In-room kettles are provided and there's free coffee in the lobby. Rooms overlooking the Vrijthof tend to be more expensive but are also prone to noise during weekend nights and festivals. The lift doesn't reach the top-floor junior suites. A breakfast room overlooks the square, but there's no other restaurant.
