Hall of Dispelling Clouds

Neatly aligned with the Tower of Buddhist Incense behind it, the Hall of Dispelling Clouds was built by Emperor Qianlong for his mother on her 60th birthday. A century later, Empress Cixi initially used the hall as her sleeping quarters, before deciding that it didn't do to be so close to Buddha, and so she moved to the Hall of Joy and Longevity.
