Karne Garibaldi

Guadalajara

This branch of a large and bright local cantina chain is wildly popular with Mexican families and has two specialties: carne en su jugo (‘meat in its juice,’ a type of beef soup; large/medium/small M$126/109/96); and fast, some might call it abrupt, service. The neighborhood is friendly and buzzes at night, and you’re almost guaranteed to be the only traveler.

Karne Garibaldi is a 15-minute walk north of Avenida Vallarta – stroll there via the quiet backstreets and enjoy the colorful houses and little hole-in-the-wall bars along the way.
