Farmhouse

Matobo National Park

A charming family-run lodge, the Farmhouse is just outside the park with quaintly decked-out thatch-roofed cottages, each with an outdoor braai (barbecue). There's a plunge pool, colonial-style restaurant, plenty of lawn and on-site hiking trails. It's a good place to arrange activities, including mountain-bike hire (US$5), guided walks (US$10), horse safaris (US$20) and game drives (US$20) – all per person.
