Posada Caribana

This upmarket posada is located in a gorgeous casona from the 19th century and is run by the posh Parque Nivaldito group. It has 11 good-sized, simply (but stylishly) decorated rooms that line a traditional-style patio. The lounge area is decorated with rattan furniture, and there’s a garden and a restaurant out back (where the best rooms are). There’s excellent food here (order ahead for dinner).
