The largest lodging in Canaima, with 109 rooms, this ‘campamento’ (it’s in fact much more of a hotel than a camp) has lovely palm-thatched duplex cabañas that are virtually on the lagoon beach. A large open churuata picks up the breeze at the pricey buffet restaurant, but the view from the bar across the lagoon to the waterfalls is truly spectacular – even if you don’t stay here, make sure you come for a drink.
