Hotel Arba

Top choice in Samarkand

This well-run place in the Russian part of town has some boutique touches, featuring exposed brickwork and colourful ikat silks, and the rooms have good bathrooms and big, comfortable beds. Staff are also remarkably friendly. It's a way from the Registan, but there are some good restaurants nearby. Single rooms are a bit of a let-down though.
