Mt Timpanogos Campground

Wasatch Mountains

On the north side of Provo Canyon, take the paved, 16-mile Alpine Loop Rd (Hwy 92), an incredibly scenic, twisting road past 11,750ft Mt Timpanogos. At 6800ft, stay overnight at the Mt Timpanogos Campground; it has pit toilets and water. A trailhead leads from here into the surrounding wilderness area filled with fir trees.
