Duke Mansion

Charlotte

The century-old former home of the Duke family, including legendary heiress Doris Duke, is now a delightful B&B inn. Set in wooded gardens in the attractive Myers Park neighborhood, a couple of miles south of Uptown, it holds 20 light-filled rooms. Many still have their original tiled bathrooms, and some upstairs open onto their own screened sections of porch.

Rates include a buffet breakfast; there's no on-site restaurant, but there are dining options within walking distance.
