It may not look like much, but this historic cemetery is the resting place for veterans of every war from the Texas Revolution through to the Gulf War, including a number of historic Texans and members of Stephen F Austin's Old Three Hundred settlers. The land for the cemetery was originally donated by Josiah H Bell out of the very first of the 297 grants issued by Austin in the region.
