The new Southwest University Park stadium (www.southwestuniversitypark.com) downtown is the home of the the El Paso Chihuahuas, one of the best-named baseball teams out there. The Chihuahuas, who started playing in 2014, are the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The season runs from April through August.
