Sixteen motel-style buildings in the piñon and juniper forest sit about a mile from the rim. Handsome air-conditioned rooms at two-story Yavapai East sleep four to six; family rooms include bunk beds. Pet-friendly drive-up rooms in single-story Yavapai West sleep up to four, but do not have air-conditioning and are more dated.
