Brooks Sports Inc

Seattle

One of the greenest buildings in Seattle (LEED platinum status), super-modern Stone 34 was finished in 2014 and sits beside the Burke-Gilman running/cycling trail in Fremont. Appropriately, its first tenants are running-shoe company Brooks Sports Inc, which has made Fremont its new global headquarters.

The ground-floor shop is as much a place for runners to seek advice as a place to buy shoes, although there’s slick footwear on offer if you’re tempted. The friendly staff are real pros.
