This high church to the joys of coffee drinking is the antithesis of everything Starbucks-y that has gone before. It's Starbuck's attempt at going back to its roots by emulating its more authentic modern competition. You may still reject it on face value, but the coffee itself is pretty great.
Even the most cynical Starbucks-phobe is likely to find something to like here – be it the tasting menu (three 8oz brews for $15), the coffee library, the huge copper casks, the micro- and small-batch roasters or the custom-made retro furniture.
