Santa Fe

A mere 8 miles from the Plaza is this gorgeous and secluded national forest service spot, complete with 36 sites and hiking and biking trails nearby. Water is available, but no hookups. If it's full, Hyde Memorial State Park is up the road, while the Big Tesuque and Aspen Basin campgrounds (free, but no potable water) are closer to the ski area.
