At this industrial-chic, champagne-focused Dogpatch wine bar, you can't launch a cork without hitting a sommelier. The married owners are both sommeliers and every server in the place is, too. Your bubbly arrives in vintage champage buckets and the still wines are popular by the half-bottle, especially for commitment-phobes.
The wine list is enormous, and there's also an inventive food menu featuring things like za’atar pull-apart bread, and Tsar Nicolai caviar with arepas and crema. Check the website for announcements about wine classes with co-owner Rebecca Fineman, who in 2017 became the world's 25th female master sommelier.
