Glacier National Park
Cottonwood and aspen dot this mostly flat and exposed campground with reservable sites (up to six months in advance) just west of St Mary entrance station. It can be breezy and sunny, but does have unobstructed views of the lower valley. Showers for registered campers. It's only half a mile walk to the St Mary Visitor Center.
The cost of sites drops to $10 for the spring and fall shoulder seasons, and are free (with no running water) the rest of the year.
