Shane Confectionery

Top choice in Philadelphia

Since 1863 this wonderfully old-school candy shop has been making sweet treats, including buttercreams and slabs, from antique molds. With the shop assistants dressed in Victorian garb it's like stepping back in time. Settle down in the historic hot-chocolate kitchen in the back where you can indulge in a flight of luscious drinks for $15.

Tours ($10) of the operation are held on Friday at 6:30pm.
