Tokyo-born Madame Saito, who's lived with her husband in Philadelphia for over 30 years and is a Le Cordon Bleu–trained chef, runs this convivial multicuisine operation out of two adjacent row homes. The menu includes French and Thai cuisine, but it's the sushi and other Japanese dishes that are their forte.

Saito-san also runs sushi-making classes here: private two-hour classes for two people start at $250. She also has four rooms in the property that she runs as a B&B (rates from $80) but they are almost always full.
