Black Moshannon State Park

Top choice in Pennsylvania

Tucked away west of Julian, PA, Black Moshannon State Park is 43,000 acres reserved for boating, fishing and hiking. Of note are its unique lake and bogs, which are host to carnivorous pitcher plants, sundews and bladderwort, as well as numerous species of orchids. The name might sound Irish, but is actually Native American, and means 'moose stream.'
