Sauvie Island

This agricultural island a 20-minute drive north of Portland has U-pick berry farms and fruit trees, sandy beaches (including one that's clothing optional), a flat 12-mile loop road that makes for good cycling, and a wildlife refuge that's prime bird-watching territory.
