Kachka

Portland

There's a theme of homey nostalgia at this Russian throwback restaurant, now in a new location and open for lunch as well as dinner. Babushka-esque doilies and pastoral Russian artwork accent the experience here, and the food is mostly dumplings and hot or cold zakuski (appetizers traditionally washed down with vodka), with a Portland care to keeping ingredients local.

At the restaurant's former location (720 SE Grand Ave.) you'll find Kachinka, where the original Kachka happy hour lives on, 4pm to midnight.
