A whisk-me-away-to-Paris feel, a romantic bistro ambience, pleasing wine list and capable European dishes give Sauvage its ooh-la-la. Menu highlights are many: perfectly seared steaks; melt-in-mouth trout, drizzled in olive oil and flecked with almonds; and experimental salads.
Like its Williamsburg sibling, oyster-and-cocktail darling Maison Premiere, it feels upmarket but unfussy.
