Albany Pump Station

The Adirondacks

The red-brick pump station dating from 1885 has been taken over by Evans Ales to become its brewery, bar and restaurant. It's a magnificent space with two giant cranes still dangling from the ceiling above the beer tanks. Sample a flight of eight ales for $8 while you peruse the menu, which includes hearty sandwiches, burgers and salads.
