Lex Boutique Hotel

Union Square, Flatiron District & Gramercy

Despite the name, the Lex doesn’t feel like a boutique hotel. However, it’s a good, centrally located option. The rooms are small and simply furnished, but feel clean and modern, and some of the bathrooms are rather sizable by Manhattan standards (some rooms also have little balconies). Light sleepers beware: the walls are thin, and traffic noise can be problematic.

There’s no lounge or common area, but the staff are friendly and its location in the up-and-coming neighborhood of NoMad (North of Madison Square Park) puts you within easy walking distance of some great dining options. You can find discounted rates on the website.
