A little backstreet theater of distinctive charm, Cherry Lane has a long and distinguished history. Started by poet Edna St Vincent Millay in 1924, it has given a voice to numerous playwrights and actors over the years, showcasing the early work of such dramaturgical heavyweights as Harold Pinter and Edward Albee. Readings, plays and spoken-word performances rotate frequently.
