1000 Figs

Top choice in New Orleans

Although the menu isn't exclusively vegetarian, 1000 Figs serves our favorite vegetarian fare in town. The falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush and lentil soup are just good – freshly prepared and expertly executed. The dining space is well lit and the seating makes you feel as if you're eating in a best friend's stylish dining room.

A full sampler platter of more or less everything on the menu is $36 ($48 if you throw in kebab meats).
