Kandahar Lodge

Montana

Nothing feels more luxurious to a skier than finishing the day's last run at the back door of their lodge, then popping into the outdoor hot tub before sipping a drink in front of the fire. This ski-in-ski-out resort up at the base of Whitefish Mountain Resort covers all those bases and has efficiently designed and warmly decorated rooms to match.

Most of the rooms include fully stocked kitchenettes, plush bedding and contemporary stylings. Breakfast (included) is a casual offering of cereals, fruit, muffins and yogurt; seating can be tight, but most people are anxious to hit the slopes anyway.

A well-regarded, if pricey restaurant with a set menu is off the lobby. The small nook of a bar is a great place for a drink and dinner as well, which you eat lounging in one of the deep couches by the fire.

Free shuttle service to lifts.
