As unexpected as food finds get, the kitchen here changes its menu to reflect whatever produce, livestock and game it's receiving from local farmers. Dishes may range from bacon-wrapped salmon to ribeye steaks with beer-braised cabbage to baskets of okra and slow-smoked chicken, all served in a playful, unpretentious dining room. Delicious, and worth a stop.
Kermit's sister restaurant is the Neon Pig (1203 N Gloster St; www.eatneonpig.com), a butcher shop and eatery known for its house-ground hamburger, the Smash Burger.
