Short’s Production Facility Pull Barn

Top choice in Gold Coast

Beer buffs adore Short’s for its Huma Lupa Licious IPA and Juicy Brut ale, and they come en masse to this sprawling outdoor drinking yard in Elk Rapids (18 miles northeast of Traverse City) to get their fill. Folks settle in at shaded picnic tables, play bean-bag toss games and while away the afternoon gulping brews from the 15 on tap.

Food trucks provide nourishment. The beer garden is seasonal, open in summer only. The rest of the year the action moves to Short’s Brewing Company Pub in Bellaire, about 30 miles northeast.

The Production Facility offers free tours on a first come, first served basis, running at the top of the hour on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
