Ship's Knees Inn

Cape Cod

This place packs in excellent amenities and appealing period decor. Best of all, it's just a quarter-mile walk to Nauset Beach. The 17 rooms in this old sea captain's home have nautical themes. Sea captains were accustomed to close quarters: some of the rooms are tight on elbow room, others are generous suites.

Two rooms share a hallway bathroom, but come at a lower nightly rate ($165).
