History buffs will love this B&B located in the house of 19th-century whaling captain Tom Lawrence. There are lots of nods to the building's former owner, including booklets on the history in each room and antiques from New England's whaling heyday. Guests also rave about the hospitality and generous breakfasts.
Behind the main house is a small apartment (per night $295, three-night minimum in high season). At the time of writing it was in need of upgrading, but perfectly comfortable and a great option for families (kids over six years welcome), groups or just those looking to make use of a kitchen.
