Skidompha

Midcoast Maine

This spacious, secondhand bookshop overlooks the Damariscotta River and is packed with more than 20,000 lovingly perused titles. The collection is eclectic and staggeringly diverse, ranging from thick tomes of Western philosophy to gardening manuals to gorgeous older books. This spot has been around since 1968, so it's got as much character as many of the books for sale.
