Riley's Railhouse

Top choice in Indiana

Occupying a decommissioned 1914 freight station in Chesterton, this railway-themed boutique B&B offers a beautiful, fireplace-warmed lounge with discerning recycled design touches, a bar and a massive open kitchen from which Richard's awesome breakfast emerges. Modern rooms – inside both the depot and the parked antique rail cars – are comfortably appointed with locomotive-themed art. Two big Labradoodles hold down the fort.

For obvious reasons, it's popular with rail enthusiasts – 86 trains pass per day! Ear plugs are provided but you'll still shake, rattle and roll.
