Michel's at Colony Surf

Waikiki

Michel's opened in 1962 and little seems to have changed since. The beautiful water view out over a small pocket beach, with the heart of Waikiki glowing in the distance, is the same, as is the menu. Old classics like steak Diane are prepared tableside and flambéed. Other dishes served with flourishes include lobster bisque and caviar. Service is formal and valet parking is free.

Think of this place as a destination for an anniversary meal or honeymoon celebration. Book ahead.
