Hotel Molokaʻi

Top choice in Moloka'i

Molokaʻi's only hotel, with an enormous vintage canoe dangling from the ceiling in the lobby, has a Hawaiian feel. Rooms are well finished with native design touches, and have kitchenettes; some rooms have balconies. The grounds are compact, with a small pool and hammocks along the reef-protected silty shore. Some units are privately owned and rented on Airbnb.

It's not the best spot for beach swimming, but the sunset is gorgeous. The bar and restaurant at Hiro's Ohana Grill are popular. The staff are extremely helpful when it comes to booking activities and tours around the island and recommending places to eat.
