Fox Theatre

Detroit

This opulent 1928 theater, built in the Oriental style, is one of the icons of Detroit – and one of the few venues that has consistently offered entertainment during the city's ups and downs. First used to show silent films (it still has two organs), today the Fox hosts comedians, top music acts and Broadway shows.

The Fox seats about 5000 people and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989, after a major renovation by the Ilitch family (of Little Caesars fame).
