Lola

Cleveland

Famous for his tattoos, Food Network TV appearances and multiple national awards, local boy Michael Symon put Cleveland on the foodie map with Lola. While the menu changes based on what's seasonal, expect dishes such as beef hanger steak with pickle sauce or braised lamb shank with mint and root vegetables. The glowy bar and open kitchen add a swanky vibe.

If you want Symon's cooking but in a more casual, lower-priced setting, head a few doors north on 4th St to Mabel's BBQ, his brisket and kielbasa eatery.
