An all-ages, cool-cat crowd gathers around the silvery tanks in Platform's tasting room for $5 to $6 pints of innovative saisons, pale ales and more flowing from the 30 taps. When the weather warms, everyone heads out to the picnic table–dotted patio. The location at Ohio City's southern edge is a bit out of the way, but starting to see development.
Platform has grown quickly. It recently opened Phunkenship, a sour beer making facility, a couple of miles south at 3135 Sackett Ave. Its taproom is open erratically, so enquire at Platform's main tasting room before heading out. Platform also has taprooms in Columbus, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.
