The Franklin

South Beach

A classic from 1934, the Franklin is a beautifully restored art-deco hotel with modern loft-like rooms. Think polished-concrete floors, sleek modular white surfaces, touches of pop art on the walls and good natural light. The rooms are spacious, and the mini kitchen (with coffeemakers) in each is a nice touch.

Friendly service and a great location around the corner from the beach (but not amid the madness of Ocean Dr) add to the value.
