Kent Hotel

South Beach

Built in 1936, the Kent has a classic art-deco facade, with striking vertical and horizontal lines that seem to beckon passers to come hither for a closer look. The rooms themselves are small and fairly boxy, with a modern gray-and-white color scheme, and can be noisy on weekend nights.

The terrace restaurant (the Limetree Lounge) is a fine feature, with outdoor seating backed by a small thatch-roof bar.
