Vagabond Hotel

Top choice in Miami

An icon in the MiMo (Miami Modern) district, the Vagabond is a 1953 motel and restaurant where Frank Sinatra and other Rat Packers used to hang out. Today it's a boutique hotel, though its lost none of its allure, with plush retro-inspired rooms, a photogenic restaurant (mains $18 to $25) and a lushly landscaped pool, complete with gurgling fountain.

There's also a great bar fronting the pool – well worth visiting even if you're not lodging here.
