The 19th-century Hopkins Inn boasts a well-regarded restaurant with Austrian-influenced country fare (the second-generation chef whips up a mean schnitzel and mouthwatering pastries) and a variety of lodging options, from simple rooms with shared bathrooms to lake-view apartments. Whatever the season, there's something magical about sitting on the porch gazing upon Lake Waramaug and the hills beyond.
In the winter months the restaurant closes and the Hopkins becomes more of a B&B. The restaurant is also closed Monday year-round.
